'Persons with Developmental Disabilities (PDD) Program' needs your ideas

Did you know the Alberta government has a certain amount of money for services to people with developmental disabilities?

The program wants to help new people that are coming in to get services, help the people with complex needs and people with fewer needs to access employment, support at home and live a high quality of life.
However, there may not be an increase in the Spring 2020 budget to help everyone who needs it.

We were asked to think about these 4 questions for budget 2020:

1. How can the Person with Developmental Disabilities (PDD) program add more people without more costs?

2. How can we help people with complex service needs?

3. Are some ways for PDD to work better?
[e.g. Family Managed Services (FMS)] or is there something new to try?

4. What are we doing that we can stop doing because it doesn’t help people on PDD?

We hope to talk more about these ideas over the next week.
