The Disability Action Hall Annual Speak Out theme is “EAT, COOK, GROW!” a celebration of the food we love to eat, cook and you guessed it…grow!
The fun begins at 11 am
until 1 pm on Friday, June 5th at 2951, 26 Avenue SE
EAT, COOK, GROW! is about taking
action for our right to healthy food! We want to celebrate in an old tennis
court renamed “Twin Views Communal
Garden.” The community garden is in its third year of container gardening
and offers a secure food source to the community of Dover & beyond.
Many people have a hard time accessing healthy food due to income, physical access and few affordable ways to learn... This event is tailored for the novice gardener and cook to learn simple ways to get started and learn what it is like to be part of a community garden!
